Taipei, Taiwan, April 8, 2019 – The 2019 US International Security Conference & Exposition (ISC West 2019) will be held at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, USA on April 10th, 2019. QNAP® Systems, Inc. will showcase its new QVR Pro smart video surveillance solution at booth 24131, which not only has powerful video and playback capabilities, but also brand-new facial recognition capabilities through the integration of advanced AI smart imaging technology. The 2nd-generation AfoBot will also be unveiled at the exhibition to showcase its integration with the monitoring system.
Meiji Chang, general manager of QNAP Technology, said: "AI is moving fast - especially in agriculture, manufacture, retail and surveillance - and provides enterprises with the means to implement lasting change and improvements. QNAP's innovative AI video surveillance solution combines QVR Pro's advanced facial recognition capabilities to provide users with a solution that takes into account smart applications and security, so they can enjoy all the convenience and benefits of AI."
QVR Pro 1.2.0 Continues to Evolve: More Intuitive and Easy to Use, Better Security and Stability
QVR Pro not only revolutionizes video storage architecture, but also supports more camera types and models. QVR Pro 1.2.0 now supports exporting/importing connection configurations using CSV files, and its Smart Motion Detection also analyzes posture, motion and movement in videos to provide more information for surveillance staff in making decisions. Even an entry-level USB webcam can use this motion detection analysis, providing greater surveillance tools for home and small business users. QVR Pro 1.2.0 also optimizes the user interface.
QVR Pro's high availability backup management suite QVR Guard and its central control center QVR Center are also upgraded with a backup mechanism and Dashboard. QVR Guard ensures that QVR Pro recordings are uninterrupted. Users can also download the QVR Pro Client to their computers and mobile devices to instantly view the operational status of QVR Pro and QVR Guard.
QVR Center centrally manages all QVR Pros deployed in a distributed manner. The latest version of QVR Center provides customized event dashboards. Visualized charts display event frequencies and how busy a business premise is, allowing users to plan for both busy and quiet periods. At the same time, users can view the health status of individual QVR Center servers at a glance through the QVR Pro Client application, allowing them to pre-plan for maintaining and replacing necessary hardware.
For companies with special needs for video playback days, QVR Pro is also now offering unlimited playback licenses, which are not subject to 14-day playback restrictions. Other license terms are now more flexible, allowing users to purchase appropriate playback and camera licenses as needed.
QVR Face: Self-built AI Recognition System to Make Enterprise Monitoring Smarter
QNAP NAS continues to evolve, bringing QVR Pro and AI applications together in this ISC West 2019 exhibition – QVR Face. QVR Face Recognition is based on AI imaging technology. Through facial data collection and AI training and inference, it can quickly and accurately identify people in surveillance footage. Companies can also create their own face data to distinguish between employees and VIP clients. QVR Pro further integrates QVR Face's facial recognition data with the QVR AI API architecture to achieve easy-to-use decentralized computing but centralized data management. The facial information and warning events analyzed by QVR Face can be queried and received by the QVR Pro Client. QVR Pro is integrated with QVR Face's AI application to provide users with the most appropriate AI application for monitoring needs.

It supports Plugins, which are community-contributed modules that provide a basic bridge from HomeKit to various 3rd-party APIs provided by manufacturers of "smart home" devices. Since Siri supports devices added through HomeKit, this means that with Homebridge you can ask Siri to control devices that don't have any support for HomeKit at all. For instance, using just some of the available plugins, you can say: Siri, unlock the back door. [pictured to the right] Siri, open the garage door. Siri, turn on the coffee maker. Siri, turn on the living room lights. Siri, good morning! - QPKG - integration - bundled with NodeJS , automatic install on Start all files are within /opt/HomeBridge/
