Free Hong Kong, now Police is attacking HKCU !!

Hong Kong Chinese University (HKCU) is under Siege by the Hong Kong Police Force. The reason behind this is if they managed to take over HKCU, they will have access to Hong Kong Internet Exchange ( HKIX), which is located within HKCU. The HKIX serves as a hub to 99% messages that is sent and received through Internet within Hong Kong. If HKCU is fallen, every Hong Kongers' message will be monitored by Communist China and the puppet Hong Kong Government. With China's A.I., MILLIONS of Hong Kongers will be sought out, arrested, raped, have livers and kidneys harvested etc. We will be vanished without a trace afterwards systematically. We Hong Kongers are in the front line of the battle between the Free World and that of Communist Tyranny. Yet the rest of the world is just sitting back relaxed, watching and doing NOTHING except having pop corns. When you see this message, please at least share. Don't let our youngsters fight alone. We are in grave danger and it _IS_ time for the UN and the world to intervene immediately!

HomeKit support for the impatient (Beta]

Install homebridge + Legacy Plugins

Homebridge is a lightweight NodeJS server you can run on your home network that emulates the iOS HomeKit API. It supports Plugins, which are community-contributed modules that provide a basic bridge from HomeKit to various 3rd-party APIs provided by manufacturers of "smart home" devices.

Since Siri supports devices added through HomeKit, this means that with Homebridge you can ask Siri to control devices that don't have any support for HomeKit at all. For instance, using just some of the available plugins, you can say:

Siri, unlock the back door. [pictured to the right]
Siri, open the garage door.
Siri, turn on the coffee maker.
Siri, turn on the living room lights.
Siri, good morning!

What will happen if I deactivate QVR Pro licenses?

What will happen if I deactivate QVR Pro licenses?

  • QVR Pro Unlimited Playback: If you deactivate QVR Pro Unlimited Playback, you will no longer be able to play back more than 14 days of recordings via QVR Pro Client for all the camera channels.
  • QVR Pro Camera Channel Extension: If you deactivate QVR Pro Camera Channel Extension, the extra camera channels acquired from this license (1, 4, or 8 channels, depending on the plan you choose) will become inactive. Note that starting from QVR Pro 1.2.1, you no longer need QVR Pro Gold to activate QVR Pro Camera Channel Extension.
  • QVR Pro Gold:
    • If you deactivate QVR Pro Gold in QVR Pro 1.2.0 (and earlier), you will no longer have access to premium features, such as advanced privilege management and unlimited recording playback. In addition, all the extra camera channels will become inactive. Only the 8 built-in camera channels will remain functional.
    • If you deactivate QVR Pro Gold in QVR Pro 1.2.1 (and later), you will no longer have access to premium features, such as advanced privilege management and unlimited recording playback. The 8 bonus camera channels provided by QVR Pro Gold will become inactive, but all other channels (including the 8 built-in channels and those acquired through QVR Pro Camera Channel Extension licenses) will remain functional.

Why am I unable to access QVR Pro video streams via HTTP or RTSP share links from outside the network?

To access video streams via HTTP or RTSP share links, your network settings must be correctly configured.

If the NAS is behind a router, you need to forward a port on your router for the HTTP or RTSP service. Afterwards, you should be able to access video streams via HTTP or RTSP share links.

Why am I unable to monitor videos on QVR Center via QVR Pro Client with a WAN IP address?

If the QVR Pro server is on an intranet, QVR Center currently only supports connecting to the server with a WAN IP address using a VPN service.

For more information on how to set up a VPN service on the NAS, see the QVPN Service section in the QTS User Guide.

Why am I unable to view the RTSP streams generated from QVR Pro using VLC media player or other players that support RTSP?

Some players that support RTSP have a timeout mechanism (with a specified period of time, for example, 10 seconds in VLC media player) to minimize waste of resources. These players may stop waiting if an RTSP stream is not generated within the time limits due to the following reasons:

- The specified resolution for the stream is too high.
- The stream is not in use by QVR Pro, neither for live view nor for recording.
