Taipei, Taiwan, September 20, 2019 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. (QNAP), a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today announced the brand-new QGD-1600P PoE managed switch. As the world’s first Smart Edge Switch, the QGD-1600P provides network management, data storage and computing capabilities by supporting QTS and virtualization. Compliant with the latest IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ standard, the QGD-1600P supplies up to 60 watts per port and offers multiple Layer 2 management functions. With built-in Switch and NAS functions, the QGD-1600P also supports various QTS and virtualization applications to provide IP surveillance, network security, storage expansion, and wireless LAN management. Furthermore, the QGD-1600P allows remote central management over edge devices, accelerating digital transformation for businesses with smart network deployment.
"The IT landscape is constantly changing, and the QGD-1600P was designed to assist businesses and organizations in accelerating their digital transformation to accommodate a wide range of potential applications," said Bennett Cheng, Product Manager of QNAP, adding "one key application is surveillance, as with its 16 gigabit PoE ports, the QGD-1600P provides ample connectivity and management features for a dedicated surveillance solution."
The QGD-1600P is equipped with 4-port 60-watt and 12-port 30-watt Gigabit PoE (with two PoE/SFP Combo ports) to supply up to 370 watts to multiple high-powered devices (PDs). With an Intel® Celeron® J4115 quad-core processor, Switch CPU, and two SATA drive bays, the QGD-1600P satisfies both network transmission and storage needs. With dedicated processors for NAS and switch functions, the QGD-1600P operates the networking management interfaces of QSS (QNAP Switch System) and QTS independently. The user-friendly QTS and QuNetSwitch also greatly assist SMBs to easily deploy a flexible and secure IT infrastructure.
With intelligent PoE management functions (including PoE scheduling, power supply prioritization, and power enabling/disabling), IT staff can efficiently control powered devices to promote an energy-saving PoE network. PCIe expandability also provides the ability to expand the functionality of the QGD-1600P with 10GbE network cards, QM2 dual-port M.2 SSD/10GbE cards, USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) cards, or wireless adapters.

How to use Home Bridge on QNAP NAS ? download link : https://www.qnapclub.eu/index.php/en/qpkg/738 HomeKit support for the impatient (Beta] Install homebridge + Legacy Plugins Homebridge is a lightweight NodeJS server you can run on your home network that emulates the iOS HomeKit API. It supports Plugins, which are community-contributed modules that provide a basic bridge from HomeKit to various 3rd-party APIs provided by manufacturers of "smart home" devices. Since Siri supports devices added through HomeKit, this means that with Homebridge you can ask Siri to control devices that don't have any support for HomeKit at all. For instance, using just some of the available plugins, you can say: Siri, unlock the back door. [pictured to the right] Siri, open the garage door. Siri, turn on the coffee maker. Siri, turn on the living room lights. Siri, good morning! - QPKG - integration - bundled with NodeJS , automatic install on Start all files are within /opt/HomeBridge/
