QNAP Showcases Innovative QTS 4.4.1, Edge Networking Applications and Enterprise Solutions at GITEX 2019

Taipei, Taiwan, October 5, 2019 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. will showcase its latest products at GITEX 2019, the largest technology show in Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. The four-day trade show held in Dubai World Trade Centre will take place from October 6-10 this year. QNAP will demonstrate its newly released QTS 4.4.1 operating system, and a variety of Intel-based NAS along with Seagate or WD hard drives to enhance business workflows, including 10GbE-ready NAS, iSER support, and virtualization solutions.

Highlighted QTS 4.4.1 features

QNAP will demonstrate HBS 3 multi-cloud backup and synchronization functions with QuDedup technology that deduplicates data at the source to enhance multi-version backup efficiency and optimizes storage utilization. HybridMount file-based cloud storage gateway supports mounting public cloud storages to a NAS and creating cache space to transform the NAS into a cloud storage gateway between the NAS and public cloud services. Moreover, QTS 4.4.1 has added Fibre Channel support on QNAP NAS. A QNAP NAS with Fibre Channel connectivity can be easily added to an existing SAN environment to leverage many benefits, including snapshot protection, Qtier™ tiering storage, SSD cache acceleration and more.

QGD-1600P Guardian Smart Edge PoE Switch

QGD-1600P Guardian is the world’s first PoE managed switch that supports QTS and virtual machines. It features 4-port 60-watt and 12-port 30-watt Gigabit PoE (with two PoE/SFP Combo port) for highly flexible networking environment deployment. With a dual-CPU design, the QGD-1600P provides both Layer 2 management functions for VM and QTS applications. The QGD-1600P also features Software-Defined Networking (SDN), enabling it to function as a NAS, NVR, router, firewall and AP controller for IP surveillance, network security, storage expansion, and wireless LAN management applications.

Intel-based enterprise NAS solutions

QNAP will also showcase the Intel-based TVS-x72XU and TS-x83XU NAS series to demonstrate high-availability enterprise ZFS NAS solutions at GITEX 2019. The TVS-x72XU series features an 8th generation Intel® Core™ processor Mellanox® ConnectX®-4 Lx 10GbE controller, and PCIe expansion for 25GbE or 40GbE connectivity to boost intensive large file sharing, heavily loaded backups, or virtualization applications. The TVS-x72XU supports SSD caching and Qtier™ auto-tiering technology that will boost system performance. Moreover, the storage solution has been honorably adopted as a technology solution for Expo 2020 Dubai to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Intel® Xeon® E based TS-x83XU series enterprise NAS comes with up to 64 GB DDR4 ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory to deliver reliable server-grade performance. It features Mellanox® ConnectX®-4 Lx 10GbE controllers to meet bandwidth-demanding applications and supports iSER to offload CPU workloads with boosted virtualization performance. PCIe expansion enables installation of graphics cards to empower video surveillance, virtualization, and AI applications.

QNAP welcomes all visitors to visit Stand H3C12 during the show to connect with the company’s business development managers. For more information about registration entry at GITEX 2019, please visit: www.gitex.com.
